About Amanda

Working with animals has always been a dream of mine. Back when I was in college I found my love of working with animals while volunteering for the Walden Humane Society in New York.

My responsibilities were to take care of the cats that were ready for adoption. Some of those duties were cleaning their enclosures, administering any medications, reporting any issues noticed to my coordinator, socializing the cats by allowing people to play with them under my supervision and any paperwork involved with the adoptions.

When we moved down to PA, I enrolled in an online course through Penn Foster Online to receive my Dog Training Certificate. While working on that I began working at Club Fido - a doggy daycare - where I could implement what I was learning as well as work in a field I truly love. After 5 years of working there I have seen many different behaviors and have learned how to read a dog’s body language in order to ensure a happy and safe experience.

That being said, I am always striving to learn more in order to continue to provide quality service. Due to unfortunate circumstances the daycare was forced to close down and as a result I am looking to continue in the field that I love by offering my own pet services.

Seeing happy animals is a wonderful thing to me and I would love to become a part of their lives.
